What do I mean when I say renew your mind? Well, first of all because of the disobedience of Adam, we came into the world with a mindset of self or a selfish mindset. Should we continue to live selfishly? I don't think so. Let's talk about this.

Romans 12:2 NIV says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will," is for you. We all have purpose for being in this world but in order to discover what that purpose is we must renew our mind to the things of God. He created us and He has the blueprint for our lives, but we must seek Him, so He can reveal our perfect will to us. Hosea 4:6 NIV says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." When we reject knowledge, we are rejecting God's law, just as Adam did. Knowledge is key to finding your way in this world. The grave is full of books, treasures of all kinds because people came to earth and never discovered why. The only way to find purpose is to get knowledge, understanding, and wisdom from seeking the Word of God. Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." What things? God knows what we need so if we seek Him and His way of doing things, He will take care of our needs, one day at a time.

So, how do you renew your mind? Studying the Bible, listening to tapes, or reading books other pioneers in the faith have written. It is not a onetime thing; it is a process. A lifelong process. The more you pursue the word the more revelation knowledge you will obtain. So, don't wait another day start renewing your mind so you can walk in the perfect will of God for your life. Amen!!
